Before we purchased Lara, she was in training for a couple years for pleasure driving. She is an outstanding mare with an alert eye and ear. Foaled May 20, 2005 TETON CELEBRATION X TETONIA BESSIE'S EBONYJOY When we sent Mom and Dad up to Bessia's to bring home a couple horses last fall, they also made a stop at The Neeley's up in Idaho. We didn't realize this until they came home and we opened the door to the trailer. They grinned sheepishly and said, "Surprise--Guess you owe us for another horse--We couldn't pass her up!" We jumped at the chance to add this filly to our broodmare band. Lady is structurally correct, alert and has a kind disposition. The Teton horses have been a strong influence in our herd for many years. Lady's paternal grand sire is the sire of our late stallion Teton Black Beauty, while her maternal grand dam is a full sister to him. Well, that sweet little filly we kept
back last year is growing up! When folks came home with Bessia's Abishag
in foal to Caduceus Montour, we sure hoped for a filly! Not only did we
get a filly, but we got a good one, too. We love the Wyoming Flyhawk
lines and her pedigree is stacked with them on both sides! She's got a
sweet face, tipped in ears, a friendly disposition and handles nicely.
After a bit of a tough summer due to a snake bite, she's coming along
nicely and we look forward to her foals in the years to come. |
